Dr Abhishek Gupta

Dr. Abhishek Gupta is a senior biomedical scientist with over 23 years of research and academic experience, including more than 14 years post-PhD. He earned his PhD from King George’s Medical University, Lucknow, India with a focus on clinical biochemical and genetic aspects of obesity and metabolic syndrome, and holds advanced degrees in biochemistry and bioinformatics. 

Dr. Gupta has extensive expertise in clinical, preclinical, and translational research encompassing in vitro, in vivo, and ex vivo models. His research interests span metabolic and cardiovascular disorders, immunology, molecular and cellular biology, toxicology, drug development, herbal medicine, and public health. 

He has held academic leadership roles, including Professor and Associate Dean, and has contributed significantly to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral training. Dr. Gupta has undertaken international research training and postdoctoral fellowships in Canada, and the Sweden at leading institutions. He has authored over 100 scientific publications and actively contributes to the scientific community as an editor and peer reviewer for several international journals. His work bridges basic science, clinical research, and public health with a strong emphasis on translational impact.
